    Investigates how the timing of transcranial direct current stimulation influences motor recovery in early vs. late sub-acute stroke. Incorporates EEG-fNIRS and robotic TCD to assess neurovascular coupling mechanisms.
  • Defining the Optimal Timing of tDCS for Post-Stroke Rehabilitation in Older Adults: Neurovascular and Plasticity Mechanisms (NIH R21, 2023–2025)
    Focused on determining age- and timing-related differences in response to tDCS, with emphasis on neuroplasticity and functional recovery outcomes.

    Examines metabolic pathways in stroke recovery and evaluates NAD⁺ supplementation as a therapeutic approach.

    Collaboration between OUHSC and Harvard/Spaulding Neuromodulation Center. Tests the feasibility and efficacy of remotely delivered tDCS for treating stimulant use disorder, expanding access to brain stimulation therapies.
