Opportunities & Collaborations

The Brain Stimulation and Neurorehabilitation Laboratory is a multidisciplinary training environment that welcomes students, fellows, and visiting scholars. We provide opportunities for researchers at all career stages to engage in cutting-edge neuromodulation and rehabilitation research.

Opportunities for Trainees

  • Ph.D. Candidates

Doctoral students may pursue projects in motor or cognitive recovery, neurovascular physiology, or clinical trial design. Candidates with backgrounds in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, psychology, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

  • Postdoctoral Fellows

Fellows work on independent and collaborative projects involving tDCS, TMS, EEG/fNIRS, and clinical rehabilitation. Positions are ideal for physician-scientists, neuroscientists, or engineers seeking translational training.

  • Visiting Scholars

We welcome visiting scholars and clinicians from around the world to collaborate on neuromodulation and rehabilitation projects.

  • Research Assistants and Coordinators

Positions are available for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in participant recruitment, data collection, and laboratory operations.

Collaborations

The Brain Stimulation and Neurorehabilitation Laboratory thrives on multidisciplinary and international collaboration. Our projects are strengthened by partnerships across neurology, neurosurgery, engineering, and rehabilitation sciences.

  • Harvard Medical School & Spaulding Neuromodulation Center:

Joint projects on home-based tDCS for substance use disorders and clinical trial methodology.

  • Stephenson Cancer Center (OU Health):

Research on cognitive impairment in breast cancer patients using tDCS interventions.

  • International Partnerships:

Collaborations with research groups in Latin America, Europe, and Asia on telerehabilitation, stroke care, and neuromodulation research.

  • Hong Kong University:

We welcome inquiries from trainees and investigators interested in neuromodulation and neurorehabilitation research. Opportunities are available for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, visiting scholars, and research collaborators across clinical and translational domains.
