Do you have Parkinson's disease? Help us learn if a vitamin can improve brain blood flow.
Daily consumption of a form of Vitamin B3, called Nicotinamide Riboside (NR), energizes the body and can combat cellular aging. Researchers want to learn if NR can also improve how the brain regulates its own blood flow in people with Parkinson's disease.
WHAT WILL PARTICIPANTS BE ASKED TO DO?
Participants will receive NR or placebo pills free of charge for 12 weeks. All participants will have a screening visit to check eligibility, and two additional study visits to measure movement, thinking, sleep, and the health of blood vessels in the brain. Daily text reminders will help you remember to take your study pills, and our team will check in with you every two weeks.
WHO CAN JOIN?
Adults with Parkinson's disease. You will receive compensation for each completed visit.
