PhD Candidate

Jeng Shi graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma, with a BS degree in Biology-Biomedical Sciences in 2022. He then expands his research experience by working as a laboratory technician in the Department of Pathology in the University of Oklahoma Health Campus for two years before being admitted into the Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences (GPiBS), which later transitioned into the PhD Program in Neuroscience at the same institution. His research interests focus on identifying cell-specific biomarkers that contribute to cognitive and cerebrovascular aging, as well as the use of dietary interventions, namely alpha-ketoglutarate, to improve cognitive outcomes in older adults.
