Teaching is more than a profession to me; it is a calling driven by my belief in every student's potential for success. As an educator, I am committed to helping students unlock their full potential by imparting knowledge and nurturing curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. I see education as a collaborative process where the teacher and the student actively participate. I am guided by the notion that learning is not a static, finished product but a dynamic and continuous journey of exploration and growth. This approach is embodied in the quote by Lyndon B. Johnson (1949), "Above all else, the teacher must not hand down the knowledge and learning as though it were complete and final--the teacher must pass the knowledge on as though he or she were confident that the student could improve it and do more with it than had ever been done before."
Learning, teaching, and leadership are ongoing processes, and each person, including myself, may be at different stages depending on the situation. I aim to share my enthusiasm with others by incorporating these principles in various settings, such as didactic teaching, experiential learning, individual coaching, and research collaborations.
In addition to recognizing the importance of preparing students to become future healthcare leaders, I believe that teaching pharmacy and other health-related courses is not just about imparting knowledge but also about inspiring the next generation of leaders. As Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education." Thus, by inspiring students to think critically and ethically, I am contributing to developing the next generation of healthcare leaders who will positively impact the world.

Other Student Mentoring Activities
Since 2017, I have mentored and recommended students for scholarships, post-graduate opportunities, and awards, helping to foster their personal and professional growth. As a teacher, I guide students during their foundational years, sharing my career journey as a pharmacist and researcher and helping them discover their passions. In my MORE (Multidisciplinary Health Outcomes Research and Economics) Lab, students gain research experience, learning research design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation, preparing them for pharmacy practice. My goal is to help shape emerging future leaders in pharmacy and health research as they work to make a difference.
